National U-18 modern kho – kho tournament 2019

3 RHPS students got selected to represent Bihar in Nationals Kho – Kho held in Surat, Gujarat from 19-22 Oct 2019. Selection trials were held in Munger. Somu got selected for boy’s and Amisha and Preeti got selected for the Girl’s team. Our sports teacher Chandan Sir was also appointed coach for Bihar junior kho – kho team and took all the players to Surat for competition.

 

National Sports Day 2019

On the occasion of National Sports Day, Kho – Kho matches were organized on the campus of Rise High Public School. Children of DAV Public School, Aurangabad, and Rise High Public School participated. DAV Girls team and RHPS Boys team won the match.

 

U-14 Bihar Athletics Championship 2019

3 girls from our school represented Aurangabad for U-14 Bihar Athletics Championship. Sonam was 100m race champion in this meet. She got selected in the Bihar U-14 athletics team for a 100m sprint race.

 

5th in Bihar Junior Girls Kabaddi 2018

For the inter-district Kabaddi championship of Bihar, 32 teams participated. Six of our students were chosen from Aurangabad district games(where they were runners up) to represent Aurangabad junior team. Our sports teacher Chandan Sir was chosen as head coach for this team. The team traveled to Purnea for the games and was defeated in the quarter-finals. Overall the team got 5th place in their very first participation.

National U-18 modern kho – kho tournament was held in Ranchi from 12-14 May 2017. Several girls and boys of our school represented the Bihar team.
Bihar Girls team with several girls students from our school won 1 match and lost 2(1 very close match). Bihar boys team with few players from our school won 2 out of 3 league matches and qualified to the quarters, where they lost to eventual winners. Our school only has students up to class 7, and them being part of the U-18 tournament and performing so well was a big achievement.
